Overview
Hill Side Washer
Tapered or beveled washers manufactured to IS 5372 to compensate for the natural slope of I-beam and channel section flanges in structural steel connections. The angled bearing face ensures the nut and bolt seat squarely against the sloped surface, eliminating bending stress on the bolt shank that would otherwise cause premature fatigue failure. Available in taper ratios 1:14 for I-beam flanges and 1:8 for channel sections in black and HDG finishes.
Key Features & Benefits
- Tapered face compensates for I-beam and channel flange slope
- Eliminates bending stress on bolt shank in sloped connections
- 1:14 taper for I-beam flanges and 1:8 for channel sections
- Prevents fatigue failure caused by angular misalignment
- Manufactured to IS 5372 for structural steel applications
- HDG finish for outdoor and bridge structural use
- Supplied in pairs for double-sided connections on request
- Compatible with HSFG and structural hex bolts
01
Compensates for cross-sectional flange angles on standard structural channel beams.
02
Ensures the fastening bolt sits perpendicular, preventing bending stress inside the shank.
03
Necessary for cross-bracing rods and high-tension steel towers.
