Overview
HSFG Bolt
High Strength Friction Grip (HSFG) bolts manufactured to IS 3757 for slip-critical structural steel connections where relative movement between connected members must be fully prevented. Engineered to develop precise clamping force that transfers loads through friction at the joint interface rather than bolt shear. Available in Grade 8.8 and Grade 10.9 with black and hot-dip galvanised finishes. Supplied as a complete assembly with IS 6623 nuts and IS 6649 hardened washers for bridges, transmission towers, crane girders, and heavy industrial steel structures.
Key Features & Benefits
- Manufactured to IS 3757 for slip-critical structural connections
- Grade 8.8 and Grade 10.9 for high clamping force requirements
- Load transfer through friction — not bolt shear
- Compatible with torque wrench, turn-of-nut, and DTI tightening methods
- Supplied with IS 6623 nuts and IS 6649 hardened washers on request
- Black and HDG finishes for all site and environmental conditions
- High tensile alloy steel for consistent preload and joint integrity
- Certified material test reports available for structural projects
01
Designed to be preloaded to high tension values, generating friction resistance between joint plates.
02
Eliminates shear sliding movement on bridges and structures subject to heavy dynamic loads.
03
Manufactured in heavy hex geometry class for superior structural tightening torque capability.
